The final conference of GADGET was taken form as an international conference for exchanging good practices as well as introducing the project outputs in the Scotland House, Brussels on 2nd September 2014.
After the opening speech given by Ms. Alba Prieto Gonzalez, representative from the Lifelong Learning Programme, EACEA, GADGET’s approach, philosophy and activities were introduced to the audience. All three participated countries, Spain, Austria and the UK, talked about the activities carried out over the past two years as well as the outputs induced. Following that, prominent speakers from the emerging environment and energy sector also shared good practices and innovative approaches to foster university-industry co-operation through focusing real-life examples.
The conference ended with brokerage session where the participants interacted and exchanged ideas with the project consortium, speakers and other attendees. This networking opportunity stimulated more informal dialogue within GADGET as the “café” approach for future possible cooperation.
Prior to the conference, the consortium had its final meeting to share the lesson learnt and discuss the pending issues within the project.
